...between two rejects for Lamborghini Diablo replacement, which would pick? Mind you, both are fairly hideous.

Lamborghini Canto by Zagato with tumorous humps? (I'm not talking about the roof bubbles.)

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Or the Lamborghini Acosta by Marcello Gandini, who designed a chunkier Diablo (apparently on purpose for financial viability). The rear end design ended up on the Qvale Mangusta.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

One thing's for sure. With huge rear intakes like that, the designers were fully aware of the flammability of Lamborghini's cars.

Second one only because it reminds me of a chunky Vector.

I'd rather have the Acosta, but I'm really glad the Murcielago became a thing instead.

Canto's front reminds me both of the facelifted NSX and the F50.

First one. Humps are better than that weird step nose.

Lamborghini Acosta, it has more of a wedge shape (which I like) and doesn't have those weird humps in the back. Plus is would have aged quicker so they would have replaced it sooner!

It's got a very ' 90s look to it.

Red. Even though it looks like a 2015 Mustang.

Is it just me, or do the taillights on the Canto look like a more primitive version of what would eventually be seen about a decade later on the Koenigsegg Agera?

They're early prototypes and they probably never had custom-designed wheels. They just stuck on latter year Diablo wheels.

No, because that became the Gallardo, not a Diablo replacement?

OH! Details in hypotheticals, on the internets, I am ashamed. You are correct.

So only including the two choices- I'd take em both and crash em into each other.

Acosta is more tasteful I think, but that front end is accosting my eyes.
